Gastroenterologist appointed first Professor of Translational Medicine at University East Anglia
Professor Alastair Watson has been appointed as the first Professor of Translational Medicine at the University of East Anglia and Honorary Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS FoundationTrust.
During his time as Head of the Division of Gastroenterology within the School of Clinical Science at Liverpool University, Professor Watson has enabled the development of superb research facilities which will have a lasting impact.
He will be sadly missed by his colleagues and patients in Liverpool who wish him well in his new post.
