Dr Joe Geraghty was appointed as the first Endoscopy Research Fellow at the Royal Liverpool following a successful grant application, the largest international award given by Cook Medical.  The Endoscopy Research Projects will have international, national and regional themes based on outcomes, training and education in Malawi, the Mersey School of Endoscopy and between the five leading Northwest teaching hospitals (The Royal Liverpool, University Hospital Aintree, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Salford Royal Hospitals and University of South Manchester Hospitals). This type of collaborative work is essential and will help, in sharing and, in standardising, good practice in endoscopy.
